The Kelvin scale represents the "color" of the light, which is based on temperature. Bioluz LED's MR16 and GU10 bulbs are 5000 Kelvin, which is very close to the color of halogen bulbs. When replacing halogen bulbs, Bioluz LED's 3000K LEDs are nearly identical in color. While 2700K bulbs have a slightly more yellow tint (similar to incandescent bulbs), 4-5000K bulbs can create a bluish tint on objects, as often seen in hospitals or office buildings.

Many brands sell and market higher Kelvin (4-5000) bulbs with lower lumens, making them appear brighter.
